Hopefully we’ll get some info from her!

Can't post links here, gah. :( But here's a description of it: 'Sims can experience age specific gameplay and a true life cycle with big life moments such as birth, marriage, and death. Watch your Sim grow from a baby to an elder, inlcuding Teenager and Young Adult life states.' It says age specific gameplay, that may be a hint.

That doesn’t sound like gradual aging to me :/

There are some users on the official forums which got the chance to participate in a Sims 4 survey. It seems that it's possible that gradual aging will be added instead of life stages. :)

AHHHH I would die! I have wanted gradual aging since before Sims 2 came out! I will drop dead if this happens…in a good way! I saw the survey and found no mention of this…could you provide a link? Thanks!

Thank God that we're getting info at gamescom and thank God that we actually got something this time around. That sketch looks great, but I can't wait to see gameplay for the actual Sims!

Basically, at this point in technology, EA could have gone either way with the graphics: keep increasing them and have extremely realistic Sims, or go back to the colorful and charming roots of TS1. Personally, I think that choosing a more cartoony look will help create a game that is fun and comical, yet beautiful and stylish. With these graphics, the game will run on a very wide variety of computers. Additionally, a less graphics-intensive game engine will allow for a TON of new content. Think about how much easier it will be to completely eradicate rabbit holes. There is no way that a huge town with photo-realistic graphics could run with intelligent and active NPCs and non-rabbit-hole locations. With more “simple” graphics, most computers would be able to support more content running at once! I’m really hoping that this time, when you look at the town, you really see people walking around and living their lives!

They did exactly what I had hoped with graphics! Let’s hope it contributes to the gameplay!

Recently on Twitter, executive producer Rachel Franklin of The Sims 4, tweeted that The Sims 4 will have “the best audio of any Sims game yet”. This tweet came 24 hours after she attended a Voice Over session for the game.

Went to a VO recording session yesterday and heard all kinds of cool Simlish. This is going to be the best audio of any Sims game yet.

5 Things I Want In TS4

I want the actions of Sims to have long-term repercussions, which contribute to an emergent narrative. A hostile Sim giving your characters the equivalent of the classic Sims plague hamster for instance, as a Trojan horse type attack on your household for past offences, or where a threesome can become a longer-term issue. Fewer bars. More drama.
It would be interesting to see the effects of the passage of time in the game. This is something most of us forget about, but something that has always bothered me. In TS3, aside from objects randomly breaking, generations can pass in the same house without any physical changes. It would be very cool to have to constantly update and replace objects as they whether with age. Why would a 400-year-old house still have a perfect paint job?
HAIR. I want hair to move in the wind. I want it to grow. Sims should be able to temporarily dye their hair a specific color without their children inheriting that color.
Laundry was a step in the right direction with adding chores, but they made the mistake of making it optional. Why would any sane player CHOOSE to add such an obnoxious feature, when they could just as easily NOT buy a laundry machine and never have to wash clothes? I think that Sims should have to go shopping and buy new clothes and ingredients. It would also be cool for Sims to have multiple outfits, so they aren’t always wearing the same thing.
They need to perfect Sim relationships. Once Sims are married, there is no incentive for them to speak to each other. In almost every family in TS3, my Sims get married, and the only other time they EVER interact is when they are Trying for a Baby. I don’t want to have to force my families to interact with each other. I want my Sim children to recognize when their grandma visits.

Oh, I see you can't wait for the next live broadcast! :P Your post was quite funny, though. It's weird how they're not releasing any info; game's coming out in 9 months or so.

I know! I’m just really used to being disappointed by EA (8/10 of TS3 expansions sucked). I love how they paint it like we are going to get all this info this summer, and each broadcast will just be introducing another stupid SimGuru. -__-

If you look at some of SimGuruSarah's most recent tweets, it becomes apparent that Into the Future might not be the last expansion pack after all.

Hmm…I checked it out. It appears that she is just saying that there could potentially be more expansions, but it doesn’t seem like she is really hinting at anything. Who knows! I guess we’ll see.

I wonder if Charlie Sinhaseni was just lying about The Sims 4 not being showcased and that Maxis has a big surprise at E3. I mean, no matter how much EA wants to advertise its remaining Sims 3 games and keep the hype low, I can't imagine them not promoting Sims 4 at E3...

Same, especially because it is coming out so soon! For Sims 2 AND Sims 3, they showed trailers at E3 a full year before release. If TS4 is actually set for early 2014, we should get a trailer this summer.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Sims 4 PR Manager Charlie Sinhaseni has confirmed that there will be nothing about The Sims 4 at E3. I must say that I was sooo excited about it, so this is an unbeliveable disappointment! It turns out that E3 listing was a mistake -- how unprofessional! And EA is crazy not to showcase it at this big event! I guess no TS4 info till August... e.e

I checked this…unbelievably aggravating but true. Guess we’ll have to wait till June 18th for TS4 info, although it’ll likely be another rip off like the first event was.

I really hope that in the Sims 4 there will be more build options. like adjusting window height, rounded walls, etc. They really should just use cc that simmers have made for Sims 3 and try to recreate it in Sims 4

I definitely think it would be a smart move for EA to incorporate popular custom content features into the core game. I also hope for more settings that players can tweak, like the length of pregnancy!

I have a terrible feeling we won't get a trailer... or anything significant. In that E3 trailer for EA, there's no TS4...

I know, I share that feeling. To be honest, one VERY reputable source says that there will be a trailer, but I haven’t heard it anywhere else. I wouldn’t be completely shocked if it didn’t happen, as most of the EA news seems to be pretty disappointing! Let’s hope for the best though!
