Sorry if I sound rude , but I personally don't think TS4 should be an exclusive game for adults. I loved making stories with my sims giving them family friends and surrounding them with people who care. A lot of my friends also think eliminating kids is a bad idea. I was wondering whats your opinion on it if they actually continue with the idea?

It is not an idea that has ever been considered by EA or Maxis. It is a complete and utter fabrication. Don’t worry about it at all! It’s clearly an awful idea haha.

HOW will the world and the population of the sims grow without children? Don't tell me there won't be death in basegame. Its definitly one big lie.

Absolutely! There’s no question about it. Will Wright isn’t even working with EA or Maxis anymore, so he certainly would not be revealing sensitive game information during a big period of silence. He likely knows little more than we do about The Sims 4!

Here Information I found - NOT SURE HOW TRUE IT IS!

thesims4blogger:

This just in — The Sims 4 will not feature babies, children or teens.

Our own correspondent, Neal Hauser had a chance to rap with Will Wright, co-founder of maxis and director of the previous Sims games.

We’ve heard that the new Sims game will not feature children. Is this true?

"It’s a strictly adult oriented game.

In the future we will add babies through teens in an expansion pack to be released later, but the core of the game doesn’t hold such content. We didn’t want it to.”

Why would you remove such an extremely popular component of the game?

"We wanted the game to draw in the current generation of young adults, so making a game without [children] was optimal for that crowd."

What about the younger audience?

"The new Sims game will have the ‘Mature’ ESRB rating… We’re taking some less-racy elements of the previous games and expanding them to steer [the game] towards a purely adult audience. For example, the ‘woo-hoo’ function is now a lot more intimate, for both the sims and the player.

It’s no longer two sims fumbling under the bed sheets, it’s more of an interactive experience that we think older audiences will enjoy.

And for those who enjoy polyamorous relationships, there is a Menage’ A Trois option.”

It sounds like you’re taking a big leap of faith with your target audience. Do you think it will hinder sales?

"No, not at all. There are so many new and upgraded features of the game, the gameplay alone will draw in a crowd. We think this is a good move.

If you haven’t seen our new Create-A-Sim, you should look into it. We’ve revolutionized simulated gameplay. It helps to think of it as a completely new game, not just a sequel of previous titles.”

Do you think the absence of children and teenagers will make the game boring?

"The first Sims game only had children, it didn’t have babies, and children grew directly into adults. We think that making this game adult-oriented will push the market in a better direction.

If people want to have kids and teens in their games they can buy the expansion pack.”

This “article” is completely fabricated. All of the original life stages have already been confirmed for TS4.

is there really still no news? I've been out of the simming community for 4 months and i come to check ts4 news today to find that nothing's really happened D: A* marketing

I wouldn’t expect anything for a few months. I know, it stinks, but the game is at a relatively early stage in development…we just have to wait. I’ll post the second news appears! Thank you for checking my blog for your Sims 4 news! :)

Nope!

It seems like you have a love-hate relationship with the Sims 4...or is it perhaps just with EA? Because I honestly wish Maxis and the people helping with Sims 4 could just somehow transfer to some other company, like Bethesda or something. Bethesda's such a nice company, in my opinion.

I definitely have a hate/hate relationship with EA, and a love/hate relationship with The Sims 4. Haha!

It’s quite complicated. Most of my gripes about TS4 (and The Sims franchise in general) come from problems within EA. I really dislike what they did with TS3 (ugly Sims, expansion packs with less content that are more expensive, focus on DLC, clunky and buggy gameplay…etc.), and how they are handling TS4 marketing. They drummed up all this hype and then completely stopped promoting the game. They could at least release a weekly “developer dairies” or something to keep us going.

Looks like we’ll be getting a few more months of silence before any real news.

Those screenshots...if that's not cartoony, then perhaps I know nothing anymore. Maybe use the word "zany"? I thought Sims2 was cartoonish but I feel even that was more realistic looking than this. Thoughts?

It’s definitely cartoony. I just don’t mind it haha. The Sims 2 beta had the best graphics in my opinion, and it was never released. TS4 really looks like The Sims 2 beta, so I’m pumped.

“Motives are still an essential part of a Sim’s daily life.”—

Graham Nardone

Graham confirms that motives are still an essential part of our Sims 4 Sims lives.

Which I was happy to hear.  He also corrects the wrong conclusions some Simmers drew from previous posts of his on the Sims 3 forums and at Mod The Sims.
