THE SIMS 4: NO OBJECT RESIZING
One of the more interesting features to come out of Creator’s Camp was the ability to resize objects. Creator Camp attendees like Ruthless_kk certainly gave it high marks:
“You can imagine how thrilled I was to hear about a new cheat that is designed to allow the player to make any object…including the plants…larger. Yay!
You can then imagine how disappointed I was when another player discovered the cheat does not transfer when a lot is uploaded to the Gallery. I will be avidly waiting to hear that they have gotten the kinks worked out of that cheat code, because I can see the vast potential it brings. —Ruthless_kk
Some even went as so far as to jokingly call it the “best feature”.
"You can rezise almost everything from plants and stones to endtables and rugs :D best feature :P” —Chrillsims3
Unfortunately — like a whole host of other features in The Sims 4 — it looks like they didn’t get it working properly and decided to cut it instead.
“The weird object resizing thing was a developer test that we left on because we thought people might have fun messing around with it. There’s always the opportunity to turn it into a real feature in the future.” —Graham Nardone
That or it was never meant to ship with the game and the Gurus provided the cheat just for entertainment — as if the game wasn’t fun enough on it’s own?
Either or, not explicitly telling Creator Camp attendees the feature they were having so much fun with wasn’t a feature at all hardly seems fair. Approving numerous pictures showcasing a feature that isn’t in the game seems down right deceptive.
Updated 8-14-2014 Graham corrects his previous statement regarding object resizing. Object resizing will be included in The Sims 4.
