Q:It feels like they're treating TS4 needs about the same as Sims Social, which, for a facebook game, wasn't the worst. There are other elements from Sims Social that I've noticed. The clothing colors are pre-picked, the skin color isn't customizable, and there are probably others that aren't coming to mind. Do you think this is because they found Sims Social to be a stable platform and decided to stick with the basics like SS did?
In some ways, yes. I think that they wanted to build a stable game system, and clearly forcing the game to render UNLIMITED custom textures for every single object and Sim was too taxing on most people’s computers. Everyone complains about how high the system requirements for the game are, so EA made the game more stable and simple to lower the requirements, but of course now everyone has to complain about how the game has no features.
The fact is, we know few concrete details about TS4. I remember the years before TS2 and TS3 came out…there were new rumors every week, and I’d say about 50% of the announced features didn’t end up in the final game. We know little to NOTHING about The Sims 4. I think people need to just wait for more news before complaining.
